Ralph Alee joined Carilion Clinic as the Roanoke, Va.-based health system's inaugural vice president of philanthropy.
His role became effective in October, the health system said Nov. 15.
In addition to overseeing systemwide fundraising efforts and the Carilion Clinic Foundation, Mr. Alee will assist with the health system's $100 million campaign for a new cancer center.
Mr. Alee brings 30 years of philanthropy management experience to the position. He most recently served as executive director of philanthropy-medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. He previously held development roles at Gainesville-based University of Florida Health, San Francisco-based Dignity Health and Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.
