Patrick Curran is stepping down from his position as CEO of Portland-based CareOregon.
Here are six things to know about Mr. Curran.
1. Since September, he has been on intermittent leave to support a family member with an ongoing health issue and has decided to make that his priority, officials said.
2. Mr. Curran has been with CareOregon for 12 years, the last three as CEO.
3. His accomplishments include leading CareOregon through implementation and growth of several coordinated care organizations throughout Oregon, while continuing to grow its Medicare Advantage and dental plans.
4. Prior to his role as CEO, Mr. Curran held several leadership positions at CareOregon, including director of business integration, director of Medicare programs and director of provider relations.
5. Chief Network Officer Scott Clement was picked to take over for Mr. Curran on an interim basis.
6. Mr. Curran will remain with CareOregon to assist the transition until a new permanent CEO is named.
