Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare has named Dana Rice, RN, senior vice president and chief quality officer.
Here are six things to know about Ms. Rice.
1. She began her new role Dec. 14.
2. In her new role, she will be responsible for working with Capella Healthcare's hospitals on clinical operations and quality performance.
3. Ms. Rice has more than two decades of healthcare experience.
4. She was previously senior director of hospital operations for Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, serving as administrative liaison to 11 hospitals in the Colorado region. Before that, she was their regional director of resource stewardship.
5. Prior to Kaiser Permanente, Ms. Rice was with Capella Healthcare serving as COO of Olympia, Wash.-based Capital Medical Center from 2011-13.
6. Mr. Rice earned an associate degree in nursing from Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, N.C., a bachelor's degree in health services management from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C., and a Master of Health Administration from Kirksville, Mo.-based A.T. Still University.
