Canton-Potsdam (N.Y.) Hospital hired Eric R. Burch as COO, according to a Daily Courier Observer report.
Here are three points:
1. Mr. Burch most recently served as CEO of Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville, N.Y.
2. In September 2016, he was placed on paid administrative leave, indefinitely. Michael F. Young, president of the board of managers, called the decision "a personnel matter."
3. Mr. Burch remained on administrative leave until his contract ended in April. He served as a consultant for Canton-Potsdam Hospital, starting in October 2016, and was named COO on May 1.
