Cambridge (Mass.) Health Alliance tapped Assaad Sayah, MD, to serve as interim CEO, effective June 7, according to a Cambridge Day report.
Four notes:
1. Dr. Sayah has worked at the three-hospital, safety net system since 2006.
2. He joined the health system as chief of emergency medicine.
3. He has also served in emergency department leadership roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, Mass.
4. Dr. Sayah replaces Patrick Wardell, who plans to retire in July.
