Mary E. LaRowe has been named CEO of Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, N.Y.
Here are three things to know about Ms. LaRowe.
1. She has worked in healthcare for more than three decades, including 25 years in administration and leadership with the Healthcare Association of New York State, Westfield (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital, United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, N.Y., as well as the New York State Department of Health, according to a news release.
2. Most recently, she was president and CEO of Catholic Health East's St. James Mercy Health System in Hornell, N.Y.
3. Ms. LaRowe's newest appointment comes as Irving, N.Y.-based Lake Shore Health Care Center, part of TLC Health Network, and Brooks Memorial Hospital plan to affiliate with Kaleida Health, based in Buffalo, N.Y. As part of those plans, Brooks Memorial terminated its affiliation agreement (including leasing site leadership) with UPMC Hamot in Erie, Penn., and entered into a partnership with Kaleida Health. TLC Health Network is also negotiating an affiliation agreement with Kaleida Health.
