Brock Nelson, CEO of Regions Hospital, to Retire

CEO Brock Nelson of St. Paul, Minn.-based Regions Hospital will step down at the end of this year, according to an article in the Twin Cities Pioneer Press.  

Regions Hospital is a part of the Bloomington, Minn.-based HealthPartners System.

Mr. Nelson oversaw two large construction projects on the St. Paul medical center campus and helped open an 11-story patient care tower in 2009. He started his career at Regions in 2003 and previously had worked as CEO of Minneapolis-based Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.

"Brock has led Regions through an era of tremendous change, setting a clear, strategic vision that has produced tremendous growth and improved quality and experience for patients," Mary Brainerd, the president and CEO of HealthPartners, told the Twin Cities Pioneer Press.
