Brian Kellar has been named CEO of Page (Ariz.) Hospital, part of Phoenix-based Banner Health.
Here are five things to know about Mr. Kellar.
1. Mr. Kellar will start his new role Aug. 10. He replaces current CEO Sandy Haryasz, RN, who announced her retirement in April.
2. Mr. Kellar said he hopes to learn what makes Page Hospital exceptional and ensure it continues to grow and thrive, according to a news release. He also looks forward to building relationships within the community and the hospital.
3. Mr. Kellar joins Page from Grundy Center, Iowa. For the past two years he has worked with UnityPoint Health in Grundy Center and Waterloo, Iowa. His responsibilities included rural hospital CEO, administration of a 55-bed nursing facility and business development.
4. Mr. Kellar also previously worked for Primrose Retirement Communities for five years as regional director of operations overseeing development and operations of retirement communities in seven states.
5. Mr. Kellar got his start in hospital administration with Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health. While at Sanford, he worked in administration in two critical access hospitals.
