Brattleboro (Vt.) Memorial Hospital named Steven P. Cummings vice president for information and support services and Jonathan Farina chief compliance and security officer, according to a Brattleboro Reformer report.
Mr. Cummings most recently served as chief implementation officer. He joined the hospital in April 2015 to lead the selection and implementation of the new Cerner CommunityWorks EHR system. He will assume his new role effective immediately.
Mr. Farina currently serves as director of information services, a role he has held since he joined the hospital in 2003. He has been considering retirement, but agreed to take on the chief compliance and security officer role. He will transition into the position in April 2017.
"These promotions have been in the planning stages for quite some time, and coincide with the major information technology upgrade we are undertaking at BMH," said hospital President and CEO Steven R. Gordon, according to the report. "Both Jon and Steve have been playing critically important roles in overseeing this initiative, and their promotions reflect the value they add to our ongoing efforts to improve patient care."
