Bothwell names 3 senior leaders: 13 things to know

Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo., has added three people to its senior leadership team.

Here are 13 things to know about the new executives.

Philip Fracica, MD, was named CMO.

1. Dr. Fracica began his new role in November.

2. As CMO of Bothwell, Dr. Fracica will be the primary liaison between providers and hospital leadership, helping to communicate and share information regarding quality initiatives and documentation.

3. He has more than 18 years of physician leadership experience.

4. Most recently, he was CMO of Mercy Gilbert (Ariz.) Medical Center. Prior to that, he was CMO of hospitals in Texas and in St. Joseph, Mo.

5. Dr. Fracica is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.

Steve Davis was named CFO.

6. Mr. Davis has more than three decades of experience with Bothwell.

7. He first joined the hospital as a cost accountant in 1985. He has also served as director of budget and reimbursement and has served as director of finance for the past year.

8. In his newest role as CFO, Mr. Davis is responsible for the Bothwell's budget, financial statements, revenue cycle, payroll and accounts payable.

9. Mr. Davis earned an accounting degree from the former Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. 

Rose McMullin was named director of patient services and interim CNO.

10. As director of patient services, Ms. McMullin will oversee inpatient nursing care at Bothwell and will work with physicians for better coordination of patient care, hospital officials said. Additionally, she will oversee the patient care coordinators who supervise inpatient and emergency department care. 

11. Ms. McMullin started working at Bothwell as a nurse assistant in 1982. She has held multiple nursing positions throughout the hospital, including director of the two Southwest medical/surgical and short stay nursing units, director of the critical care and progressive care units and director of case management and social services.

12. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph and a master's degree in health service management from  Webster University in Kansas City, Mo.

13. Her mother is the late Mary Jo McMullin, who was a Bothwell nurse for more than 40 years and served as CNO for 10 years.
