Randy Simmons has been named interim CEO of Bear Valley Community Hospital in Big Bear Lake, Calif., effective today, according to a recent report.
The hospital has not had a CEO since Ray Hino resigned from the position in October. Since then, Wade Sturgeon, Bear Valley Community Hospital's CFO and COO, led the hospital's administrative team.
According to the report, board vice president Barbara Willey said the board wanted to name an interim CEO quickly so Mr. Sturgeon could continue his role leading the hospital's finances until a permanent CEO is found.
