Lynnette Clinton returned to Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System to take on the CIO role.
Ms. Clinton previously served as vice president of applications for the health system's information services department. She departed last December to serve as senior vice president and CIO of University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, where she has spent nine months.
"I'm excited for Lynnette's return,” said BayCare Chief Administrative Officer Tim Thompson. "Lynnette is an outstanding leader who worked with the BayCare IS team for eight years as a director and vice president. She will be an excellent addition to the executive team here at BayCare."
Ms. Clinton officially returned to BayCare Sept. 25, the day before Hurricane Helene hit. She has spent the last month leading efforts to address storm-related challenges and executing disaster preparedness plans after Hurricane Helene and the subsequent Hurricane Milton caused flooding and destruction across the coastline.
As CIO, Ms. Clinton is responsible for IT at BayCare's 16 hospitals and multiple other facilities. She leads a team of 700-plus information services and clinical engineering professionals. Her department is focused on customer services and digital health advancement.
