Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, N.Y., promoted William LeCates, MD, to vice president of medical affairs, according to All Otsego.
Here are three points:
1. Dr. LeCates is the hospital's medical director. He will take on the VP role in addition to his current role.
2. He is co-chair of the hospital's quality management council and a member of the trustees' performance improvement committee.
3. A nephrologist by training, he has previously served in the Army Medical Corps.
