Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care has named Brian Welton CEO and administrator of the $25 million hospital it plans to build in Crittenden County, Ark., according to a Memphis Business Journal report.
Here are three things to know about Mr. Welton.
1. He joined Baptist as a Frank S. Groner administrative fellow and then became assistant administrator at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle in Columbus, Miss.
2. He also previously served as operations director for Baptist Medical Group in Columbus and Memphis.
3. In his new role, he will lead the new hospital in Crittenden County, which is expected to open by 2018, according to the report. The hospital will replace West Memphis, Ark.-based Crittenden Regional Hospital, which shut down in 2014.
