South Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida appointed six leaders to executive positions.
Baptist Health South Florida named cardiologist Jonathan Fialkow, MD, chief clinical integration officer. He is the founding executive medical director of the Baptist Health Quality Network, the health system's physician enterprise. He will continue to serve in this role. Previously, he was medical director of the stress lab, EKG and cardiac rehabilitation as well as co-director of the chest pain center at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
Louis Gidel, PhD, MD, will serve as the health system's chief medical informatics and quality officer. Most recently, he was Baptist Health's chief medical informatics officer. He is a pulmonary and critical care physician.
Baptist Health South Florida appointed Mark Hauser, MD, president of medical staff affairs. He is the vice president of medical affairs and CMO at Baptist Hospital of Miami. He will continue in his current role until a successor is selected.
Philipp Ludwig has been named corporate vice president and COO of the clinical enterprise division, which aims to bring the health system's clinical efforts under one administrative umbrella. He is the founding vice president of operations for Baptist Health Medical Group and Baptist Health Quality Network.
The health system named Khurram Nasir, MD, corporate medical director of the Baptist Health Center for Research. Previously, he served as medical director of Baptist Health's Center for Healthcare Advancement and Outcomes. A cardiologist, he is an associate editor of Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes.
Milly Selgas, RN, will serve as vice president of care coordination and transitions of care. Most recently, she was assistant vice president of nursing at South Miami Hospital. She is the co-chair of the South Florida Hospital and Health Care Association's Quality and Patient Safety Committee.
