Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz., selected Cristal Mackay as COO.

1. Ms. Mackay joins the all-female leadership team that includes CEO Laura Robertson; CFO Cheryl Tong; CMO Tanya Kne, MD; and Chief Nursing Officer Cindy Helmich.
2. Previously, Ms. Mackay served as COO of Ventura (Calif.) County Medical Center, according to her LinkedIn profile.
3. She also served in leadership roles at Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, including vice president of operational performance.
4. She holds an MBA degree from University of Utah-David Eccles School of Business in Salt Lake City.
