Avijit Ghosh, an adviser to the president of the University of Illinois, has been named CEO of University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago, according to a News-Gazette report.
Mr. Ghosh will assume the roles of U of I Hospital CEO and U of I's associate vice president for hospital operations. He will replace Bryan Becker, MD, who is leaving the organization for a position with the University of Chicago, according to the report.
Most recently, Mr. Ghosh served as adviser to UI President Robert Easter and oversaw a review of the university's health care operations, including the hospital, clinics and medical colleges, according to the report.
