Veteran health insurance executive Gary Hovila has been named senior vice president of finance and strategy for Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care.
Here are four things to know about Mr. Hovila.
1. In his role, Mr. Hovila will direct financial due diligence and integration for business development and partnership and other collaborative opportunities, while working closely with Aurora's enterprise business group.
2. Most recently, he was executive vice president with Health Payment Systems, a Milwaukee-based healthcare billing firm.
3. Mr. Hovila co-founded and was vice president of Brookfield, Wis.-based Trilogy Health Insurance, and before that held leadership positions at Humana and UnitedHealthcare of Wisconsin.
4. Mr. Hovila is a certified public accountant and has a master's degree in healthcare fiscal management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
