Ascension's Saint Thomas Health, based in Nashville, Tenn., announced four executive promotions, effective Jan. 1, 2018.
Don King, who previously served as president and CEO of Saint Thomas Midtown and West Hospitals, both in Nashville, Tenn., will take on the COO role at Ascension's St. Vincent's Health System in Birmingham, Ala.
Fahad Tahir will be promoted to president and CEO of Saint Thomas Midtown and West Hospitals. He is currently president and CEO of Saint Thomas Medical Partners, a medical group comprised of 550-plus providers with 99 locations.
Saint Thomas Health appointed Yvette Doran to replace Mr. Tahir as president and CEO of Saint Thomas Medical Partners. She currently serves as COO of the medical group. She is also the board chair of the Medical Group Management Association-American College of Medical Practice Executives.
Jim Ward, MD, currently CMO of Saint Thomas Medical Partners, will serve as chief clinical officer of the medical group. Dr. Ward will serve as a clinical dyad partner with Ms. Doran, with him overseeing physician and clinician engagement and her leading operations, business management and development.
