Jonathan Bates, MD, president and CEO of Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, has announced plans to retire at the end of June 2013.
Dr. Bates has led the hospital for almost 20 years, making him the second-longest serving CEO in the hospital's 100-year history. Under his leadership, ACH's campus has grown and the hospital has expanded to provide children's health services statewide.
Arkansas Children's has hired Witt/Kieffer, a national executive search firm, to find Dr. Bates' successor. They hope to have a new president and CEO in place by July 1, 2013.
