Blackford Middleton, MD, the immediate past chair of the American Medical Informatics Association board of directors, has been named chief informatics and innovation officer of analytics marketplace Apervita.
In his new role, Dr. Middleton will be responsible for working with health systems, payers and pharmaceutical companies to help build Apervita's industry platform.
