Lancaster, Calif.-based Antelope Valley Hospital tapped Edward Mirzabegian to serve as CEO, effective Jan. 15.
Mr. Mirzabegian has previously served as corporate CEO for Avanti Hospitals Healthcare System based in Los Angeles and regional CEO for Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services. From 2007 to 2013, he was Antelope Valley Hospital's CEO.
During his previous tenure, Mr. Mirzabegian spearheaded a partnership with Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope, launched a $32 million renovation project and implemented trauma and stroke programs.
Mr. Mirzabegian is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on several boards, including the American Cancer Society and Hospital Association of Southern California. He holds a master's degree in health service administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill.
