American Health Council industry board taps Iowa hospital RCM leader: 3 things to know

The American Health Council, a collaboration for advancement in healthcare, added Stephanie DeHart-Giberson, director of health information management/patient access and revenue cycle at Oskaloosa, Iowa-based hospital Mahaska Health Partnership, to its industry board.

Here are three things to know about Ms. DeHart-Giberson.

1. She has 25 years of healthcare experience.

2. Previously, she worked at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa-based Henry County Health Center. At HCHC, she oversaw various areas such as emergency room registration, pre-authorization eligibility, transparency, medical staff credentialing, coding and hospital information system.

3. Ms. DeHart-Giberson earned an associate degree in health informatics from Indian Hills Community College, with campuses in Ottumwa and Centerville, Iowa; a bachelor's degree in psychology from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa; and a master's degree in behavioral health from Minneapolis-based Capella University.
