Ann Madden Rice will retire from her roles as senior vice president of Minneapolis-based Allina Health Operations and president of Abbott Northwestern Hospital in May 2022.
"Ann has been tireless in her commitment to engaging the care team and ensuring the best in high quality, equitable care to the community we serve, and we are profoundly grateful for her many contributions to our organization," Allina Health CEO Lisa Shannon said in a Jan. 18 news release.
Before joining Allina Health in 2018, Ms. Rice held the CEO title at University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for ten years. She previously served as CFO and COO for Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
David Joos, Abbott Northwestern's vice president of operations, will succeed Ms. Rice as hospital president. Sara Criger's role as senior vice president of Allina Health Operations will expand to include oversight for acute care across the health system, the news release said.
