Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network is restructuring its leadership, according to a TribLive report.
Here are four things to know about the restructuring.
1. Jeffrey Cohen, MD, a urologist, will take over as president of Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, effective June 1. Dr. Cohen currently serves as director of Allegheny General's urology division.
2. Michael Harlovic, who had been Allegheny General's president for the past two years, is leaving his post. Officials did not disclose a reason for his departure. However, Tony Farah, MD, CMO of AHN, said the parting was mutual, and Mr. Harlovic declined to pursue other positions within AHN, according to TribLive.
3. Mark Rubino, MD, was appointed president of Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa. He has served as the hospital's CMO since 2013. During his tenure, Dr. Rubino has overseen a $36 million strategy at Forbes Hospital, including the expansion of its obstetrics program and the launch of its Level II trauma center, according to the report.
4. Duke Rupert, who is currently president and CEO of Forbes Hospital, will become COO of Allegheny General.
