Akron Children's Hospital selects new VP of population health: 4 points

Akron (Ohio) Children's Hospital named Steven Spalding, MD, director of pediatric rheumatology and vice president of population health.

Here are four points:

1. Dr. Spalding most recently served as chief clinical integration officer and CMO at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

2. His previous roles include serving as director of the Center for Pediatric Rheumatology at Cleveland Clinic.

3. He completed a pediatric rheumatology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh at UPMC.

4. In his new roles, Dr. Spalding will oversee the hospital's rheumatology services and their expansion as well as the hospital's population health strategy and its advancement through data analytics.
