Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System selected Rena Freeman to serve as vice president of total rewards, a newly created role.

1. The new VP of total rewards role involves oversight of the total rewards strategy for the entire system, including planning, implementing and maintaining all compensation and benefits programs.
2. Ms. Freeman most recently served as the Adventist's executive director of compensation and benefits.
3. Her prior experience includes serving as director of HR operations for Adventist Health System and compensation manager at Orlando-based Florida Hospital.
4. She currently chairs Adventist's HR policy subcommittee.
5. Ms. Freeman holds an MBA from Miami (Ohio) University.
