Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System named David Ottati to the newly created role of president and CEO of the Central Florida Division-North Region. In his new role, Mr. Ottati will oversee the region that Rob Fulbright led prior to his sudden death earlier this month.
Adventist Health System divided its Central Florida Division into two regions — North Region and South Region. The North Region encompasses what used to be considered a part of the health system's East Florida Region as well as some additions.
The North Region now includes the following hospitals:
• Florida Hospital DeLand
• Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City
• Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast
• Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach
• Florida Hospital Oceanside in Ormond Beach
• Florida Hospital New Smyrna in New Smyrna Beach
• Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares
Mr. Fulbright previously oversaw the East Region. He died April 11 at age 47 after experiencing a sudden cardiac event.
Mr. Ottati will take on his new role on May 1. He currently serves as CEO of Florida Hospital Waterman, prior to which he was CEO of Florida Hospital Flagler. He has been with Adventist since 1996.
The search for a new CEO at Florida Hospital Waterman has begun.
