Thomas Dolan, PhD, president and CEO of the American College of Healthcare Executives, has announced his intention to retire, effective May 10, 2013.
Upon his retirement, Dr. Dolan will become president emeritus. Dr. Dolan joined ACHE in 1986 and was appointed president and CEO in 1991. During his tenure, ACHE experienced "unprecedented" membership growth, according to the release. The society now has more than 40,000 members throughout the United States and in 73 countries, according to the release.
