Bangor, Maine-based Acadia Hospital has promoted vice president and COO Scott Oxley to the role of president, according to the Bangor Daily News.
Mr. Oxley has worked for Acadia's parent company Eastern Maine Health System in Brewer for 24 years, and was also promoted to EMHS vice president. He has previously served as the organization's interim treasurer and CFO; vice president of corporate services; vice president and chief accounting officer; as well as CEO for Affiliated.
"During his tenure with us, Scott has led many organizational optimization projects at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, Affiliated Healthcare, and Acadia Hospital to ensure, as a system, we continue to best meet the needs of our patients," said M. Michelle Hood, president and CEO of EMHS. "His inspiring leadership qualities and extensive experience and expertise in business, finance, and patient care administration, positions him well to successfully lead Acadia Hospital into the future."
