7 recent chief medical, nursing officer moves

Seven recent chief medical and nursing officer moves Becker's has covered since Jan. 13: 

Kirk Sloan, MD, has been named chief medical officer of LMH Health, the Lawrence, Kan.-based system said Jan. 13. His appointment is effective March 6. 

Melissa Hall, MSN, RN, was named chief nursing officer and vice president of clinical affairs at CalvertHealth, based in Prince Frederick, Md.

The Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences promoted Ahmed Abuabdou, MD, to chief clinical officer. He had been serving in the interim role since September. 

Chief Nursing Officer Daniel Wright, BSN, RN, turned in his resignation after only nine months at Framingham, Mass.-based MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham Source reported Jan. 13.

April Kranz, MSN, was named chief nursing officer of Conway (Ark.) Regional Health System, Arkansas Money & Politics reported Jan. 17.

North Kansas City (Mo.) Hospital and its physician network subsidiary, Meritas Health, have named Steven Starr, MD, interim chief medical officer. 

Indianapolis-based Riley Children's Health has named Mara Nitu, MD, chief medical officer.
