Jim Bogan has been named interim CEO of Upper Peninsula Health System-Marquette (Mich.), according to a report by Upper Peninsula's Second Wave.
Here are six things to know about Mr. Bogan.
1. Mr. Bogan will fill the CEO position while the system searches for a permanent replacement. Former CEO Ed Banos left the job for an opportunity at University Hospital in San Antonio.
2. In 2014, Mr. Bogan became market president for UP Health System.
3. He has served in a CEO role before. Previously, Mr. Bogan served as CEO of Portage Health in Hancock, Mich. before it became part of UP Health System.
4. Mr. Bogan previously held leadership roles at Trinity Medical Center in Minot, N.D.
5. Mr. Bogan earned a bachelor's degree from North Dakota State University in Fargo and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
6. He is also a graduate of the Hospital Administration Program at Concordia College in Minnesota, and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
