Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, Texas, has appointed Michael Ellis CEO, effective May 11, according to The Reporter.
Here are five things to know about Mr. Ellis.
1. Mr. Ellis has more than 20 years of hospital management experience.
2. For the past seven years, he has served as CEO of Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, Texas.
3. During his time as CEO of Big Bend, Mr. Ellis oversaw the building of a new primary care clinic in the hospital and a satellite clinic and recruited physicians in multiple specialty areas, according to the report.
4. He also previously served as CEO for hospitals in Kansas and Nebraska.
5. He has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree, both from the State University of New York in Brockport, N.Y., according to the report.
