Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, Pa., has appointed Kendra Aucker president and CEO, according to The News-Item.
In July, Ms. Aucker will take over for Michael O'Keefe, who announced his retirement after nearly 25 years of service with the hospital.
Here are five things to know about Ms. Aucker.
1. Ms. Aucker joined Evangelical Community Hospital in 1990. Since then, she has served in marketing, physician practice management, operations and executive leadership roles.
2. Ms. Aucker has been executive vice president and COO since 2010. In that role, she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hospital and oversaw the surgical, orthopedic, cardiovascular and imaging service lines, along with the employed physician group, laboratory services, pharmacy services, environmental services, plant engineering, project management, nutritional services and safety and security, according to the report. Additionally, she had reporting responsibility for information technology and human resources.
3. Ms. Aucker is a licensed agent through the insurance department of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with qualifications in accident and health, and life and fixed annuities, according to the report.
4. Ms. Aucker is a healthcare fellow of the Healthcare Advisory Board and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Medical Group Management Association.
5. Ms. Aucker earned a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in business administration from Frederick Taylor University.
