36 recent hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week:

1. Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Fla., has tapped Elizabeth Adams, DNP, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

2. Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica appointed Darrin Arquette president of regional acute care in Michigan and president of ProMedica Monroe (Mich.) Regional Hospital.

3. Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, N.Y., has selected Maxine A. Briggs to serve as CFO.

4. Scott Briner, CEO of Sweeny (Texas) Community Hospital, is stepping down from the role to pursue entrepreneurship opportunities.

5. Marrero, La.-based West Jefferson Medical Center appointed Rob Calhoun president and CEO.

6. H.D. Cannington, CEO of Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola, Fla., plans to resign in 30 days.

7. Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health appointed Suja Chandrasekaran to serve as senior executive vice president and chief information and digital officer, a newly created role.

8. St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Fla., has selected Peter Charvat, MD, to serve as CMO.

9. Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health named Eric Deaton COO.

10. Mercy Hospital Joplin (Mo.) has selected Jeremy Drinkwitz to serve as president.

11. Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health selected Marvin Eichorn to serve as chief administrative officer.

12. Beacon Health System in South Bend, Ind., named Sam El-Dalati, MD, chief clinical officer.

13. Kate FitzPatrick, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer at Burlington-based University of Vermont Medical Center, is leaving for a leadership role at Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health, effective Oct. 1.

14. Alexandria, La.-based Christus St. Frances Cabrini Health System has tapped Sherman Fookes to serve as COO.

15. Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System has tapped Jacquelyn Frombach, DNP, to serve as regional chief nursing officer for the Marshfield Medical Center-Minocqua (Wis.) hospital, which is currently under construction.

16. Richard J. Gannotta, CEO of University of California, Irvine Health System, is resigning Sept. 30 to pursue an opportunity at medical technology company Masimo.

17. Mercy Health-Springfield (Ohio) named Adam Groshans president.

18. Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health appointed Taylor Hamilton chief consumer officer.

19. Santa Ana, Calif.-based KPC Group appointed John A. Heydt, MD, chief clinical officer of KPC Health.

20. Daniel Lewis, MD, will become CMO for both campuses of Greeneville (Tenn.) Community Hospital.

21. Matthew Loos, MD, will serve as Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health's chief academic officer.

22. Sisters of Charity Health System appointed Janice Murphy, RN, president and CEO of St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, based in Cleveland, effective immediately.

23. Norwalk, Ohio-based Fisher-Titus Health System named Richard Roche chief human resources officer, effective Aug. 5.

24. Pensacola, Fla.-based Ascension Sacred Heart appointed Dawn Rudolph president of Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, effective in the fall.

25. Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health has tapped Clay Runnels, MD, as chief physician executive.

26. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health appointed Marcus Shipley senior vice president of innovation and CIO.

27. West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health has tapped Jeanine Spain to serve as COO of its Peoria-based Central Illinois region.

28. Christine Stesney-Ridenour, president of three Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health hospital campuses, is resigning Aug. 14.

29. Odessa, Texas-based Medical Center Health System has selected Russell Tippin to serve as president and CEO, effective Sept. 9.

30. Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System selected Janet Tomcavage, RN, to serve as chief nursing executive, effective Aug. 1.

31. Brian Turney, president and CEO of Kingman (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center, plans to retire in the second half of 2020, ending a 25-year tenure.

32. Amit Vashist, MD, will become Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health's chief clinical officer.

33. Sisseton, S.D.-based Coteau des Prairies Health Care System COO Greg Weaver is resigning for a new opportunity at a Missouri hospital.

34. Pamela Daley Whelton, the first female president of South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, Mass., has resigned.

35. Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare has tapped Matt Wille to serve as president and CEO of Munson Medical Center.

36. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health named Cassandra Willis-Abner senior vice president of diversity and inclusion and chief experience officer.
