24 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

The moves are listed below, in alphabetical order by the executive's last name.

1. OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Ill., named Toni Bishop-McWain, MSN, RN, vice president and chief nursing officer.

2. Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare selected Carolyn Carpenter to serve as president of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, effective Nov. 1.

3. Cambridge-based Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center President and CEO Ray Chorey retired.

4. Vail (Colo.) Health selected Will Cook to serve as president and CEO, effective in early January 2019.

5. Poinciana Medical Center in Kissimmee, Fla., appointed Chris Conn CFO.

6. Mercy Health in Cincinnati selected Dave Fikse president of the Cincinnati Market.

7. Cleveland-based Sisters of Charity Health System appointed Paul C. Hiltz permanent president and CEO of Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.

8. Nicole Hobbs, CEO and administrator of Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Wyo., is resigning in January 2019.

9. Salem, Va.-based LewisGale Regional Health System tapped Lance Jones to serve as CEO and market president, effective Dec. 1.

10. The Detroit Medical Center named Brittany Lavis CFO-Detroit Market.

11. Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Ark., tapped Katie Lea, BSN, MSN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

12. Mercy Health-Youngstown (Ohio) tapped John Luellen, MD, to serve as COO.

13. Kerrville, Texas-based Peterson Health President and CEO Pat Murray is retiring at the end of April 2019.

14. Seattle-based UW Medicine CMO Carlos Pellegrini, MD, plans to retire, effective Dec. 31.

15. Jeremy Riney, CEO of Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville, Texas, plans to resign Oct. 26.

16. Dan Robinson, president of UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, Colo., will retire in 2019, ending a 36-year healthcare career.

17. Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Medical Center selected Pat Rosenberg, RN, MSN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

18. Stony Brook (N.Y.) University Hospital selected Mark Sands, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Nov. 1.

19. St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare named Mark W. Shen, MD, president of St. Louis Children's Hospital, effective Nov. 12.

20. Dodge City, Kan.-based Western Plains Medical Complex appointed Scott Smith permanent CEO.

21. Flagstaff-based Northern Arizona Healthcare dropped the "interim" from President and CEO Florence L. Spyrow's title.

22. Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CHI Memorial appointed Michael Sutton market CFO.

23. Port Townsend, Wash.-based Jefferson Healthcare selected Tina Toner, BSN, MSN, RN, to serve as CNO.

24. Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based DCH Health System appointed Marsha White, BSN, MSN, chief nursing officer.
