Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week:
1. Lexington, Ky.-based CHI Saint Joseph Health appointed Jason M. Adams president of Saint Joseph East and COO of Saint Joseph Hospital, effective Oct. 14.
2. Gainesville-based Northeast Georgia Health System has hired Andrei Boyarshinov to serve as vice president of legal affairs and chief legal officer.
3. Greenbrae, Calif.-based MarinHealth named Eric Brettner CFO.
4. Dennis E. Burke, president and CEO of Hermiston, Ore.-based Good Shepherd Health Care System, plans to retire in 2020, ending a 31-year tenure.
5. Keck Medicine of University of South California in Los Angeles appointed Tammy Capretta, RN, chief transformation and risk officer.
6. Michael Covert was named interim COO of Gainesville-based Northeast Georgia Health System.
7. Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, S.C., has selected Michelle Edwards to serve as CIO.
8. Seaford, Del.-based Nanticoke Memorial Hospital has tapped Ray Fulkrod Jr. DNP, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.
9. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Ind., named Mathew Gaug vice president and CIO.
10. Hillsdale (Mich.) Hospital has tapped JJ Hodshire to serve as CEO, effective June 1, 2020.
11. Susan Jarvis was appointed president of Sanford Bemidji (Minn.) Medical Center.
12. Richmond-based HCA Virginia appointed Ryan Jensen CEO of three hospitals, effective Nov. 1.
13. Tulane Health System in New Orleans appointed Ruth Kain chief nursing officer, effective Sept. 30.
14. Greenwood (Miss.) Leflore Hospital appointed Gary Marchand to serve as interim CEO.
15. Bryan Nermoe was named president of Sanford Medical Center Fargo (N.D.).
16. Metro Health-University of Michigan Health in Wyoming has hired Lori Price, RN, to serve as COO.
17. Louis Smith, president of Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville and president of acute and post-acute services for the health system, resigned Sept. 27.
18. Cortez, Colo.-based Southwest Health System has appointed Rick Shrader CFO.
19. Orange Park (Fla.) Medical Center appointed Lisa Valentine CEO.
20. Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, La., tapped Dionne E. Viator to serve as interim CEO.
21. Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System has selected Matthew Walsh as executive vice president and COO, effective Oct. 1.
22. Manchester-based Eastern Connecticut Health Network appointed Deborah Weymouth CEO.
23. Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tenn., has tapped Julian Yang, MD, to serve as CMO.
