Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following recent hospital and health system executive resignations.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Scott Briner, CEO of Sweeny (Texas) Community Hospital, is stepping down from the role to pursue entrepreneurship opportunities.

2. H.D. Cannington, CEO of Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola, Fla., announced plans to resign.

3. Blain Claypool, CEO of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho, will resign, effective Sept. 27.

4. Teresa Fisher has resigned as executive leader of the Montana Children's Medical Center in Kalispell less than two months after assuming the position.

5. Kate FitzPatrick, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer at Burlington-based University of Vermont Medical Center, is leaving for a leadership role at Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health, effective Oct. 1.

6. Lisle, Ill.-based Amita Health CEO Mark Frey is departing from the role.

7. Richard J. Gannotta, CEO of University of California, Irvine Health System, is resigning Sept. 30 to pursue an opportunity at medical technology company Masimo.

8. Chris Harrison, senior vice president of financial operations and corporate finance, of Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health, left Aug. 9.

9. Joseph B. Hill, chief diversity officer of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, is stepping down at the end of September.

10. Joseph Mullany, regional president and CEO of St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Bayfront Health, resigned Aug. 21.

11. Fayetteville, Tenn.-based Lincoln Health System CEO Candie A. Starr left the role Aug. 21.

12. Christine Stesney-Ridenour, president of three Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health acute care facilities, resigned, effective Aug. 14.

13. Lisa Valentine, CEO of Summerville (S.C.) Medical Center, is leaving the role for a new job opportunity, effective Sept. 18.

14. Will Wagnon, CEO of three Richmond-based HCA Virginia facilities, stepped down Aug. 23.

15. Sisseton, S.D.-based Coteau des Prairies Health Care System COO Greg Weaver is resigning for a new opportunity at a Missouri hospital.

16. Deborah Weymouth, president and CEO of UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton (Mass.) Hospital, resigned for a new job opportunity.

17. Pamela Daley Whelton, the first female president of South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, Mass., resigned after nearly four months in the role.
