The following hospital and health system executive moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.
1. Austin, Texas-based Seton Healthcare Family, part of St. Louis-based Ascension Health, named Michelle Robertson president and CEO of the Seton Family of Hospitals, the largest operating division within Seton Healthcare System.
2. Melrose, Mass.-based Hallmark Health System has announced the appointment of Alan Macdonald as president and CEO. His appointment was effective March 19.
3. Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, Ky., named John Sumner CEO.
4. The Brooklyn (N.Y.) Hospital Center promoted Mary Anne Healy-Rodriguez, PhD, RN, to senior vice president and chief nursing executive.
5. Swift County-Benson Hospital in Benson, Minn., announced the appointment of Kurt Waldbillig as CEO, effective March 23.
6. Montebello, Calif.-based Beverly Hospital appointed Alice Cheng as president and CEO. Ms. Cheng had been serving as the hospital's interim CEO for the last year.
7. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus named Hal Mueller the system's first chief supply chain officer. Mr. Mueller will begin his new role April 6.
8. Randall K. Segler, CEO of Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Okla., will retire after 23 years of service. Brent Smith has been named CCMH's next CEO.
9. Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Neb., named James Frank CEO, effective June 1.
10. St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare created the role of chief clinical officer and chose Clay Dunagan, MD, to fill it.
11. Phoenix, Ariz.-based Banner Health announced several executive leadership changes in its Arizona East Region. The following changes were effective March 16.
Todd Werner, former CEO at Banner Gateway Medical Center and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, both located in Gilbert, Ariz., was promoted to president of Banner's Arizona East Region.
Lamont Yoder, RN, replaced Mr. Werner as CEO of Banner Gateway and Banner MD Anderson.
Laura Robertson, RN, moved from her position as CEO of Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital, both in Mesa, Ariz., into the role of CEO of Banner Desert Medical Center.
Julie Nunley, RN, CEO of Banner Ironwood Medical Center in San Tan Valley, Ariz., and Banner Goldfield Medical Center in Apache Junction, Ariz., became CEO of Banner Baywood and Banner Heart.
12. Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo., named Barry Chambers CFO, effective April 20.
13. Ukiah (Calif.) Valley Medical Center, part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, appointed David R. Ploss, MD, as CMO.
14. Hawaii Health Systems Corp. named Peter Klune permanent regional CEO of the Kauai state hospitals. Mr. Klune's new role will begin April 1.
15. Rodney Huebbers, CEO of Shreveport, La.-based University Health System resigned.
16. Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare named Robert Sehring CEO of its central region. Mr. Sehring's appointment began March 9.
17. Elkins, W.Va.-based Davis Health System president and CEO Mark Doak will retire after 17 years with the system.
