The following hospital and health system CEO moves were made or announced in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.
1. Randall K. Segler, CEO of Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Okla., will retire after 23 years of service. Brent Smith will become CCMH's next CEO.
2. Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Neb., named James Frank CEO, effective June 1.
3. Phoenix, Ariz.-based Banner Health announced several executive leadership changes in its Arizona East Region. The following changes were effective March 16.
Todd Werner, former CEO at Banner Gateway Medical Center and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, both located in Gilbert, Ariz., was promoted to president of Banner's Arizona East Region.
Lamont Yoder, RN, replaced Mr. Werner as CEO of Banner Gateway and Banner MD Anderson.
Laura Robertson, RN, moved from her position as CEO of Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital, both in Mesa, Ariz., into the role of CEO of Banner Desert Medical Center.
Julie Nunley, RN, CEO of Banner Ironwood Medical Center in San Tan Valley, Ariz., and Banner Goldfield Medical Center in Apache Junction, Ariz., became CEO of Banner Baywood and Banner Heart.
4. Hawaii Health Systems Corp. named Peter Klune permanent regional CEO of the Kauai state hospitals. Mr. Klune's new role will begin April 1.
5. Rodney Huebbers, CEO of Shreveport, La.-based University Health System, resigned.
6. Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare named Robert Sehring CEO of its central region. Mr. Sehring's appointment began March 9.
7. Elkins, W.Va.-based Davis Health System president and CEO Mark Doak will retire after 17 years with the system.
8. Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Medical Partners, part of Buffalo-based Catholic Health System, selected Michael Edbauer, DO, to succeed Dennis R. Horrigan as CEO after Mr. Horrigan retires at the end of 2015.
9. James H. Hobson, CEO of CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., will retire July 12.
10. Bethany M. Gilboard was named CEO for the joint venture between Albany, N.Y.-based St. Peter's Health Partners and Schenectady, N.Y.-based Ellis Medicine.
11. John Harney, president and CEO of University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, announced he will retire June 30.
12. Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System named Brian A. Gragnolati president and CEO, effective May 4.
13. Seth Whitmer, CEO of Morton (Wash.) General Hospital, was terminated from his role March 11.
14. Freeman (S.D.) Regional Health Services named Nick Brandner CEO.
