13 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Omaha, Neb.-based Methodist Health System selected Josie Abboud, BSN, to serve as president and CEO of Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women's Hospital, both located in Omaha.

2. Pueblo, Colo.-based Parkview Medical Center CEO Mike Baxter plans to depart from the role, effective in February 2019.

3. Bellin Health Oconto (Wis.) Hospital named Laura Cormier CEO, effective Oct. 1.

4. Rapid City, S.D.-based Regional Health named Paulette Davidson permanent president and CEO.

5. Grove City (Pa.) Medical Center CEO Robert Jackson did a last-minute about-face, deciding to remain with the hospital and rejecting a job offer elsewhere to the surprise of hospital officials and board members.

6. Medical City Weatherford (Texas) appointed Sean Kamber CEO, effective Oct. 1.

7. Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Hospital & Medical Center selected David L. Longworth, MD, to serve as permanent CEO.

8. Lee's Summit (Mo.) Medical Center selected John McDonald to serve as CEO.

9. North Country Hospital in Newport, Vt., named Brian Nall CEO, effective Nov. 1 or earlier.

10. Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System has named Chris Self president and CEO of Manchester (Ky.) Memorial Hospital.

11. The Medical Center of Aurora (Colo.) tapped Ryan Simpson to serve president and CEO, effective Oct. 1. He will also provide leadership for Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital in Aurora, part of The Medical Center of Aurora.

12. Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, Miss., selected Heather Sistrunk, BSN, RN, to serve as CEO.

13. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health Medical Center appointed Jonathan R. Turton CEO.
