The following hospital and health system executive moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.
1. Lloyd Monger, CEO of Jonesboro, La.-based Jackson Parish Hospital resigned.
2. Jerry Moeller, CEO of Stillwater (Okla.) Medical Center will retire Jan. 15 after spending the last 21 years with the hospital.
3. Ellington-based Missouri Highlands Health Care appointed John Canterberry CFO.
4. Gainesville-based University of Florida Health Shands announced the appointment of Ed Jimenez as the system's CEO, effective April 22.
5. Mark Geller, MD, who has been serving as Nyack (N.Y.) Hospital's interim CEO since December 2014, will now fill the role permanently.
6. Lancaster Valley, Calif.-based Antelope Valley Hospital named Donald T. Wenzler, DNP, RN, CNO, effective April 6.
7. Jeff Robertson, CEO of Stillwater, Minn.-based Lakeview Health System announced plans to retire at the end of June. Ted Wegleitner, president of Lakeview Hospital, has been selected to succeed him.
8. Mark E. Bush, CEO of Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, resigned April 21.
9. Michael Blauer, CEO of Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services' North Coast service area and Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, Ore., will resign at the end of April.
10. San Antonio-based Nix Health named Terry J. Fontenot CEO to replace exiting CEO John Strieby.
11. Rand O'Leary, chief administrative officer of PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, Ore., will take on head leadership responsibilities for PeaceHealth's Oregon West Network when John Hill, the network's senior vice president and CEO/chief mission officer, departs from the system May 5.
12. Kathy Clark, RN, president and CEO of Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihue, Hawaii on the island of Kauai, will retire June 30.
