Children's Hospital Central California in Madera has maintained a strong market position and solid operating profitability with Vice President and CFO Michele Waldron leading its financial services team.
Moody's Investors Service recently upgraded the hospital's bond rating to "A1" from "A2." Children's also has a stable outlook because of its robust balance sheet and solid operating performance, according to Moody's. Furthermore, the hospital has a track record of meeting and exceeding budgets. Moody's reports that Children's posted a 4.2 percent operating profit margin and 11 percent operating cash flow margin in fiscal year 2012.
Ms. Waldron served as the hospital's director of general accounting for nine years and executive director of finance for five years before advancing to the CFO position in 2003. Previously, she served in the audit division of public accounting firm Ernst & Whinney.
