Will Cook is the president and CEO of Aurora-based University of Colorado Hospital, the only academic medical center in the state and one of UCHealth's seven hospitals.
In this role, which he has held since September 2015, Mr. Cook focuses on advancing patient care, innovation and research at the hospital. He has a wide breadth of operational healthcare experience in outpatient and inpatient services, and is a skilled leader at building positive relationships throughout a health system.
Mr. Cook previously worked at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he held several different leadership roles, including senior vice president of UPMC's health services division, COO of the system's physician services group, and president of UPMC Mercy, also in Pittsburgh.
Early in his career, Mr. Cook worked at Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore, filling several roles, including director of operations at Johns Hopkins International Medical Center in Singapore.
Mr. Cook earned a master's degree in health administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M University in College Station. He also completed a two-year fellowship in healthcare administration at Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore.
