Victoria Alexander-Lane, MBA, has served as president and CEO of Sebasticook Valley Health in Pittsfield, Maine, since April 2010. SVH is a member organization of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems in Brewer, and Ms. Alexander-Lane also serves as a senior vice president of EMHS.
Prior to joining SVH, Ms. Alexander-Lane served as CEO of Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon, Idaho, and as CEO of Ojia (Calif.) Valley Community Hospital.
SVH includes a critical access hospital with 25 beds as well as outpatient services, and Ms. Alexander-Lane enjoys leading the small facility and its patient population. "I am passionate about healthcare and sincerely believe that through a patient-centric model we can use our resources wisely to raise the overall level of health and well-being for everyone," she said in a statement on EMHS' website. "As a small hospital CEO, I look for every opportunity to standardize and connect with EMHS to improve the throughput and quality of care at the local level."
Her work has paid off. With Ms. Alexander-Lane at the helm, SVH was named one of the top ten critical access hospitals in the nation for clinical excellence by the VHA Workplace Wellness Excellence-Platinum by Well Workplaces of America. Additionally, the hospital as named one of the nation's best rural hospitals by The Leapfrog Group.
Ms. Alexander-Lane earned her MBA with a healthcare concentration from Regis University in Denver.
