Tim Cook has served as president and CEO of Florida Hospital DeLand since Sept. 16. Florida Hospital DeLand is part of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.
Mr. Cook previously served as CEO of Adventist's Florida Hospital Heartland Division in Sebring, a position he held since 2007. In that role, the Heartland Division raised t heir quality and patient safety scores to be in the top 25 percent of hospitals nationwide. He also led the addition of a stroke center and a breast health center.
Mr. Cook held several roles with Adventist Midwest Health in La Grange, Ill. — a member of Adventist Health System — before joining Adventist Health in Florida. For example, he served as CEO of Adventist La Grange (Ill.) Memorial Hospital, and as vice president of development, regional vice president of human resources and COO of the system.

"His ability to unite physicians and communities to serve with this one mission will be a tremendous asset to Florida Hospital DeLand and the Volusia/Flagler market."
Mr. Cook earned a master's degree in religion from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. When he's not busy leading Florida Hospital DeLand, he enjoys playing music with his wife and children.
