Suzanne Beauvoir Jackson has served as CEO of Hopewell, Va.-based John Randolph Medical Center, part of Richmond-based HCA Virginia, since July 7.
"I am honored and excited to join the John Randolph Medical Center team and the Tri-cities community. JRMC has long been part of the lifeblood of the Tri-cities with an outstanding medical staff and workforce fully focused on delivering the highest-quality care," Ms. Jackson said in a news release.
Ms. Jackson has been with HCA for 11 years. Prior to taking the helm at John Randolph, she served as CEO of Dominion Hospital, a 100-bed HCA Virginia behavioral health facility in Falls Church. In her six years at Dominion Hospital, Ms. Jackson helped improve patient experience and establish a culture of excellence in the facility.
Prior to Dominion, Ms. Jackson served as COO of West Palm Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fla. She started her career as a healthcare consultant with Ernst and Young in Chicago.
Throughout her career, Ms. Jackson has been recognized for leadership excellence. For instance, she was named one of Success South Florida's Top 25 Influential and Prominent Black Women in 2006 and was recognized in Who's Who Black South Florida in 2007.
In 2013, Ms. Jackson started a three-year term on the board of directors of The Institute for Diversity in Health Management. She is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Ms. Jackson earned a master's degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
