Renee K. Jensen is CEO of Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, Wash. She has served as CEO since 2007, 
beginning her term at the Mark Reed Hospital in McCleary, Wash., which was shuttered in 2013 after the opening of the new $23 million Summit Pacific Medical Center.
Summit Pacific Medical Center is a level V critical access hospital with 24-hour emergency services.
Ms. Jensen has previously worked for the Columbia County Health System in Dayton, Wash., where she held numerous leadership positions, including associate administrator, director of quality improvement and laboratory manager.
As the CEO of Mark Reed, a critical access hospital, she ensured financial success. She secured the first USDA loan for hospital construction in Washington State.
Summit Pacific was recently voted one of the top 20 most beautiful hospitals in America by Soliant Health. "Our team put a lot of thought behind each design decision made during the construction of Summit Pacific," said Ms. Jensen in a news release. "We have been and continue to be passionate about bringing the same level of care and facilities seen in larger urban areas to our small community. So it's really exciting [to] see our community's support result in a national ranking for both our facility and the city of Elma."
Ms. Jensen is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a board member for the Washington State Hospital Association and president of the Southwest Washington Hospital Council. She is active in advocacy efforts to ensure that rural hospitals have a voice in policy decisions.
Ms. Jensen has a master's degree in healthcare administration as well as a certification as a clinical laboratory scientist.
