Martin A. Bieber has served as the president and CEO of Voorhees, N.J.-based Kennedy Health System since 2006.
Before taking the reins at Kennedy, Mr. Bieber was with Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health Services of Long Island for 14 years.
During his time leading Kennedy Health System, Mr. Bieber has led efforts to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction scores. He has also grown Kennedy Health's primary care physician network. Additionally, under his guidance, Kennedy joined the Penn Cancer Network and welcomed Rothman Orthopaedics to the system, among other accomplishments.
Behind all of the improvement and additions, Mr. Bieber is trying to fulfill his overarching role at Kennedy. "My role is very clear to me. It is to assure our patients a completely safe environment and that their outcomes are at or better than the expected level," he said in a video released by Kennedy Health System.
Outside of time spent at Kennedy, Mr. Bieber is very involved in healthcare. He is a fellow of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society and is a member of several other organizations, such as the American College of Healthcare Executives, the College of Health Information Management Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He has also served as chairman of the board of trustees for Bancroft, a non-profit serving people with neurological challenges. He was elected as Bancroft's chairman in 2011.
