Kimberly Cripe serves as CEO of Children's Hospital of Orange CountyAs president and CEO, Ms. Cripe oversees CHOC Children's growing healthcare network, which is affiliated with the University of California, Irvine (Calif.). It includes: two hospitals in Orange, Calif., and Mission Viejo, Calif.; several community clinics across California; an expanding network of outreach programs; a residency program; four centers of excellence — the Heart, Orthopaedic, Neuroscience and Hyundai Cancer Institutes; and a research institute. Ms. Cripe also oversees the CHOC Children's Foundation, which recently launched the "Chance CHOC, Change the World" campaign — an initiative to transform CHOC and the delivery of pediatric healthcare in Orange County.

In addition to her dedication to CHOC Children's, Ms. Cripe is committed to expanding healthcare access to underserved children and adolescents. In 1999, she was appointed as a commissioner for the Children and Families Commission of Orange County. She has also served as the board chair for the California Children's Hospital Association, helping to pass the Children's Hospital Bond Act of 2004. In recognition of her leadership in children's healthcare, Ms. Cripe received a Mentor in Medicine Award from the March of Dimes in 1999.

Ms. Cripe has been a member of CHOC Children's since 1991. She initially served as executive vice president and COO before accepting the position of CEO in 1997. Prior to joining CHOC Children's, she served Humana — now Columbia/HCA — where she held several positions in strategic planning, business development, physician relations and marketing and public affairs.
